I know we’ve all filled up on corned beef and cabbage this past weekend but the Spring Newport Restaurant Week-March 20-29 begins Friday night. As the official blogger for the Newport County Convention and Visitor’s Center I will be out and about dining at some of the participating restaurants and reporting back to you!

This spring is very exciting as the culinary feast has been extended through two weekends. As an innkeeper myself, I have folks coming in to Newport to stay and dine especially because it is restaurant week. In case you are not familiar with the concept-the participating restaurants offer a 3 course lunch for $16 and a 3 course dinner for $30. These restaurants involved have gotten very creative with their menus and it is a great opportunity for those who are local and have always wanted to try a different restaurant and those from out of town who want to choose a new favorite!

Reservations are suggested on weekends…come hungry!
